Advisory for Physicians

Start, buy, or run a medical practice better, with someone who has done all three.

I built one primary care clinic from scratch, acquired two more, and still run all of them today. I help other physicians make the same move with fewer mistakes, and I work alongside owners who want to strengthen the day-to-day of a practice they already run.

About

Practical advice from inside the practice.

I built one primary care practice from the ground up. Then I acquired two more. Today I still run that group across multiple locations. Whether you are starting, buying, or already running a medical practice, I have likely been through what you are facing: first concept, lease negotiation, payer credentialing, hiring, billing setup, closing on an acquisition, the messy first 90 days after taking over, or any of the daily operational decisions that come with actually running a practice.

Along the way I have lived every part of the business. Site selection. Entity setup. Hiring and firing. Billing. Marketing. The patient experience side. The boring operational discipline a small practice needs just to stay profitable. I have also built ancillary service lines that broaden what a primary care practice can offer.

Before medicine I spent more than twenty years in IT, across operations, engineering, and management. That background is the edge I bring to physician clients: practical guidance on the technology that actually boosts operational efficiency, and on the operational levers behind patient communication, retention, marketing, billing, HR, and hiring.

The advice I give comes from steps I have personally taken, and from mistakes I made so you do not have to repeat them.

Walked the path firsthand

  • Opened a primary care clinic from the ground up
  • Bought, transitioned, and grew two existing practices
  • Launched ancillary and alternate revenue lines
  • Negotiated commercial leases and a property purchase
  • Still actively running operations today
  • 20+ years prior in IT operations and management

I advise. You decide. You own the relationships.

Practice Path Advisors is purely an advisory service. I am not a vendor, broker, or law firm. When you need an attorney, lender, billing partner, marketing agency, EHR vendor, or any other tool or service, I will point you to professionals I have worked with and trust. The contracts and the relationships stay yours. I do not take referral fees, so the recommendations stay honest.

FAQ

Common questions.

Who do you work with?

Physicians who are starting an independent medical practice from scratch, buying or acquiring an existing one, or already running a practice and looking to strengthen day-to-day operations like hiring, marketing, HR and payroll, patient acquisition and retention, and billing. My background is primary care, and the operational playbook applies to most outpatient specialties.

How does pricing work?

Every engagement is custom-scoped after the free 30 minute Strategy Call. Pricing is tailored to your specific situation, the scope you actually need, and the level of involvement that makes sense. My goal is helping physicians succeed in independent practice, not selling fixed packages, so I keep pricing flexible and discuss it openly during the scoping call.

Do you provide legal, tax, or financial advice?

No. I am a strategic and operational advisor. I am not an attorney, accountant, broker, or licensed financial advisor. For those services I refer clients to professionals I trust and have worked with.

What states do you serve?

I work with physicians regionally across multiple states. Strategic and operational guidance applies anywhere. State specific items like licensing, corporate filings, and tax structure are handled by your local attorney and CPA.

How long does a typical engagement last?

A Feasibility & Roadmap engagement takes about three to four weeks. A Full Startup Advisory runs roughly four months. A Full Acquisition Advisory covers LOI through 60 days after close, which is usually three to six months total.

Will you connect me with vendors, lenders, and other professionals?

Yes. I keep a short list of attorneys, lenders, billing partners, marketing agencies, and EHR vendors I have worked with personally. You hire them directly. I do not take referral fees, so the recommendations stay honest.
